gordon_lowe Black Panther CoverGordon was born and bred in Bath, but after qualifying as a solicitor taught law for ten years in London to include a year in America. He then returned to the West Country to set up his own law practice from which he has now retired to write full time.

His latest book The Black Panther was published in November 2016 and tells the story of Donald Neilson, best known for the kidnap and murder of Lesley Whittle in 1975 and the fraught police investigation that followed.

His The Acid Bath Murders was published in November 2015 and tells the story of serial killer John Haigh, who dissolved his victims in sulphuric acid and converted their financial assets to fund a luxurious lifestyle.

His Escape from Broadmoor was published in May 2013 telling the story of John Straffen’s murderous escape from the famous hospital for the criminally insane, and he has recently talked about the book on radio and television.

Gordon is happy to take on speaking engagements about his books.

Gordon has contributed to various television programmes on topics covered by his books on Channel 5, Yesterday and PBS, the most recent of which was The Abduction of Lesley Whittle on Channel 5 broadcast on 11th October this year
